blog has changed… please visit Scrapniques

See you there!

with a new blog.

I have been getting a bit annoyed with this one. Lets just say it doesn’t do what I want it to do. So, I have been playing around with squarespace.

If you could please take a look at the site and tell me which one you prefer, that would be great! Here is the link… Scrapniques.

Once you have had a look at the site, please let me know which you like best. And then put a post in the one you like best to tell me that. Thanks heaps!

It’s going to be interesting to see who likes which site. I want to make the conversion in a week if it’s going to be that site. So, please have your votes in by next weekend! Ta!

Just quickly…

I did this LO last night.

Okay, got to get back to the housework. Lots to be done today!

Clair and the kids cam over for a scrap/play date today.  It was a lot of fun. The kids all played well, well reasonably well (the actually did fight a bit) and Clair and I both got 2 pages done.

Here are the ones I did.

I really love both of the pages. They are both cool in their own ways.

The girls haven’t slept much today so hopefully that means they will have an early night. I hope so cos Israel wont be home til late due to parent teacher interviews tonight and I want to tidy up our walk in robe, it’s a mess.

Well Chloe wants to watch playschool and I want to go and clean the kitchen.

Talk to you again later!

I did this the other day. I am really happy with it! It’s the March challenge for 3AS (3 Angels Scrapping – you can find a link to the site on the left). While I am here I might give a bit of a plug for 3AS. For any of my scrapping friends that read my blog and don’t know about 3AS, you HAVE to check it out! It’s awesome! I chat in the forum every day, the ladies there are all so nice! They also have a gallery, which is unbelievable! The talent there is out of this world! Soooo inspirational! They have a fab DT (Design Team) which I am just in awe of. And of course they have a shop. I love it there too! So much really yummy stuff, and good prices too! Jo and Rosy (the girls who run 3AS) are the best! They are really helpful and their service is amazing!

I have made up such a wish list for the shop, it’s quite scary! I figure I will just slowly get a little bit at a time.

I am starting to feel better now. So much so that I managed to finish my circle journal tonight. Here are some really dodgy scans for you to squiz at…

For those of you who don’t know what a circle journal is… basically, it’s where a bunch of scrapbokers and sign up to do a circle journal. Each member creates a journal with their own theme (my theme is “being a girl”). They need to do an instruction page stating what the theme is and what each member is required to do a page on (and any other instructions they may have). They also create a way of signing in. For me I have made it pockets for each person to put tags into. Then each member is to scrap a page to do with the theme. Each journal is sent around to all the other member in the group for them to do their own bit in it, and then it finally comes back to it’s owner in it’s full glory!

My group consist of 13 people, so it’s going to take quite a while for me to get my journal back, but I am so looking forward to it. And also it’s going to be such fun having a go in everyone else’s journal, everyone has such good themes.

As I do the pages in other people’s journals, I will post them on here. The first one I will be getting is Clair’s, it’s going to be aweome!

I have been so sick lately. I started with vomitting on Wednesday night and it just kept going through the night. Mum ended up coming and helping yesterday and took me to the docs. I got a shot of maxalon and penicillin and it seems to be doing the trick. I am still sick but getting better so I guess it’s a good thing. Even though I wish I was completely better!

Can’t really chat long, but just wanted to share these pics…

It’s been a while since I have shown off some pics, so thought I would tonight. Here are just a couple of of fav recent ones.

The other week, me and the girls went to catch up with Bec and Esha. Esha is such a little girly girl! Isn’t she adorable?!

And here is Bec and Chloe.

Here are my 3 gorgeous girls… from left to right it’s Ashca, Chloe and then Gemma

pict0939.jpg

And here are the girls all playing on the floor together when Ash and Gem first started sitting. This is a common scenario when they are playing, Ashca always hogs the toys, Chloe keeps snatching them off her and Gemma just sits back and watches. Ashca and Chloe sure are the 2 roudy ones!

Here is Gemma and Ashca playing again, Ashca trying to hog the toy yet again!

Yesterday after church we went to the Lake to have lunch with another family from church. Chloe had so much fun playing with Benjamin and Mitchell. Here is Mitchell pushing Chloe around on her bike.

Today has been a great day for me. I started off the day by getting quite a bit of housework done. (Although it doesn’t look like it now! Don’t you hate it when all your hard work goes down the drain so quickly!) Then my Mum took the kids for the afternoon to go and see her MIL. Barbara (My Mum’s MIL) lives about 45 mins away in a very swish retirement home. She loves seeing the girls so now that Ashca isn’t breastfed (oh I don’t think I have said that on here yet, I will come back to that) , Mum decided to take all of them up there to see Barbara. The girls were only gone a few hours but it went sooooo quickly! I was glad to have them home though. It’s so quiet without them! I did get to cook dinner in peace, bake banana bread in peace, chat on the net in peace, scrap in peace, do more housework in peace, basically it was peaceful!I haven’t taken a pic of what I scrapped yet, but I will do soon. Tonight though, I needed to get some photos of myself for a scrap project I am half way through. Israel took some really good shots, but this is my fav…

pict1091.jpg

Okay, well I guess I better explain what happened with Ashca this week. To cut a long story short, she finally fully refused the breast. She has been fussing for a while now. She was getting very difficult to feed. I had cut her down to half bottle half breast feeding in the day, but it was still extremely difficult to get her to feed off me. She would just scream constantly, but I knew she was wanting milk. Anyway, thursday was our big day, I cut my breastfeeding career short. And do you know what, Thursday and Friday I had no discomfort whatsoever! I only started to get a little uncomfortable with the weaning on Friday night and Saturday – that tells me I pretty much had no milk, and Ashy was just trying to tell me that. Since being on the bottle she is going pretty well. It seems now that she want to drop her afternoon bottle too now. I am going to trial not giving it tomorrow and see how she goes.

In other news with the girls… well actually there isn’t any really! Well none I can think of at this hour anyway. I think it must be time for bed! Goodnight!

PMSL! Nah, I just accomplished something really cool that I wanted to share with you all.

I  decided that I want to really try and keep on top of my housework, it’s important more than ever now because the babies are getting more and more mobile everyday.

Well tonight I decided it would be the night to start. You see, I have always found I work better at night. Not only because I have no children to worry about since they are all in bed, but also because it is really lovely waking up to a nice clean house. So that’s my motivation, I picture how good I will feel waking up in the morning, it gets me through scrubbing those horrible pots and pans! Yuck!

However I had a bit of trouble getting into it all tonight. Israel was out at a work function and then Jeep club tonight so things were a bit busy until 7:30. At 7:30 I decided to sit down in front of the puter and finally eat my dinner. I was thinking I would just cruise around on the net for about 30 mins and then gets into some serious work. Well as all my net buddies know, 30 mins easily turns into an hour. The thing that finally got me off the puter at 8:30 was Gemma waking up. I tried resettling her for ages but she just wouldn’t have a bar of it. I tried some pain relief as I know she is teething at the moment but that didn’t seem to help either. Finally I offered her a bottle and that did the trick. So really I didn’t get into the housework until almost 9pm! And for the last 50 odd minutes, I have been going like I am on speed or something!

I have cleaned the kitchen and put a new load of dishes in the dishwasher, washed bottles, washed all the benchtops, swept and mopped the kitchen and dining floors, cleaned the toilet and potty, mopped bathroom, tidied the laundry (it was chaotic in there!), and done a major clean up of general crap all over the floors in the main end of the house. I can’t wait til Israel gets home and sees what I have done, and all in under an hour!

I am hoping to do more washing and vacuum tomorrow and also sort out the twins room.

Since I am having a bit of a show off moment, why don’t I show off my latest LO. It’s a really dodgy scan and it’s come out way brighter than in real life but you get the idea. I think if I end up submitting it I will re-scan it.

My adopted Grandfather passed away yesterday. It was not a sudden thing, but still a difficult time. He was such a wonderful person who would always make me laugh. He had such a good sense of humour for an old guy! He also was one of the most kind and gentle people I know. He was always interested in what was happening in other people’s lives, and always downplayed his own issues in order to listen and hopefully help others. Every birthday, Christmas and Easter we would get a card from Jock signed in his own unique handwriting. I will never forget that handwriting, I could pick it a mile off!

Anyway, Jock you will be dearly missed, we all love you so much! But we are glad that you are now out of pain. Love you lots!
