I have been so very slack on the net lately.

Really I have been WANTING to get on to all my usual catch up points like EB, 3AS, friends blogs and of course my blog, but I just haven’t had the time lately. I have been using all my spare time looking for work, which still nothing good has come up. And if something good has come up, I can’t do it! Very disheartening. I suppose it is what I should expect when I am trying to look for work from home that isn’t an internet scam or party plan. I guess something will come up eventually.

Well I suppose I better fill you in on what’s been happening, lets go for the subcatergories style…

IMMEDIATE FAMILY 

Well you know all about me and my job hunting so I wont go into anymore about that. And Israel is just the same old same old, busy with work…. so…. moving right along to the girls!

Chloe is going really well at the moment. I have noticed her grow up a lot over the last few weeks, in good ways and bad! Her speech is really coming along now and her intellect too! She understands soooooo much now, it’s scary! She has been testing boundaries a lot more now though, her latest thing is throwing things, today she actually hit Gemma with a toy!

Gemma is going really well too. She starting sitting a little bit last night. Started off sitting with a bit of help from Israel, then moved on to him just being there to catch the odd fall, then by the end of it she sat for about 10-15 minutes all by herself! She didn’t do it today, but that’s ok, she will get there.

Ashca has been also coming along really well. Lately she has been getting up on all hands and knees and rocking backwards and forwards trying to crawl but not going anywhere. Well this afternoon she did it! She gets up and then throws herself forward, then gets up to do it all again. She can get about a metre forward quite easily now. I have recorded it on my phone, I’ll see if I can upload it on here, otherwise I can text it to anyone that wants to see it. Ashca has been super grumpy lately though. Not sleeping well and cranky when she’s awake. She has been outright refusing the right breast so I spoke to my health nurse about that and she told me to wean that breast and just feed her on the left. I am a bit uncomfortable because of it, but I know it wont last long. However, she is still pretty fussy on my left side so I am wondering if maybe she is starting to wean herself. She only feeds for about 5 mins maximum 4 times a day, and then when it comes to 11pm for her dreamfeed she drinks a 240ml bottle! She gets so cranky when she sees Gemma have a bottle, she wants it soooo bad! I have been trying to feed Ashca first and then give Gemma her bottle, but that still doesn’t always help. Maybe my breastfeeding days are coming to an end.

EXTENDED FAMILY 

I don’t usually write about extended family, yet I feel there is a need this time. My Grandfather has been a bit sick lately and has been in hospital again. He went in for pneumonia and kidney failure and was given about 5 months to live, if that. Well yesterday he was just diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on the lung and is very sick. He is 88 so they wont be treating it, he is just having morphine for the pain. He is unable to eat and has reflux and vomitting. So anyway, he’s not in a good way. It’s affecting my whole family a bit as my Nanna died of lung cancer only 6 years ago, so it’s bringing back a lot of memories.

SCRAPPING 

I have been doing a bit lately, but I will have to come back to show them as I haven’t scanned them in yet. I had a little scrap date with my new friend Tracey last night and it was heaps of fun! She has soooooo many funky tools, I think I may have to steal them Trace!

OUR NEW TOY

The other day I was so not coping with the heat. I was litteraly dripping in sweat! So, I sent Israel out to buy a cooler. He came home with the most lovely contraption! I am now in heaven! We have one of those mobile refrigerated units. We have put it in the loungeroom and the old one is in front of the twins room. Our house is not like an iceblock, but at least bearable now!
