Now these are by far the worst photos ever, but they mean something to me. As per my previous post, I have been having a tough time with my girls lately. And just as I was sitting down thinking how tired I am and how annoyed I am at my girls, I remembered something that darling Amanda taught me. She told me that when you have had a bad day, once they are asleep, sneek in and look at them and you will remember how much you really do love them. Well that is just what I did. Except I took photos to always remind me. Theye aren’t very good photos cos their room are dark but I didn’t want to put the flash on, so they ended up blurry, but oh well, you still get the idea. And the photos are very special to me regardless. Anyway, here they are…

Ain’t they sweet!?

Okay, so here is what I have gotten done today:

- 4 loads of washing out on the line

- cleaned the kitchen

- mary’s cage

Now I am off to sort out the dry washing and get ready to vacuum once the girls are awake.

Oh actually, also wanted to post a link to this blog, amazing reading! Good vs. Bad Mothering

I just don’t understand what is going on with all 3 girls at the moment! It’s crazy! They are just not sleeping, it’s driving me nuts!

Yesterday Ashca and Gemma decided it was time to wake up and play at 5:20, this morning it was 4:30!

This morning was so bad, but the worst thing was that it had been a bad night all through the night. Chloe wasn’t sleeping and came into our room, Samson decided it was time to play at some horrible time, Ashca and Gemma were needing dummies back a lot through the night, Israel wasn’t sleeping, and then of course Ashca and Gemma waking at 4:30. I didn’t actually feed them until 5am though, cos I was trying to resettle them. Then when I finally got them back to bed, Ashca thought it was still playtime, and Israel had an itchy arm! Eventually I did get back to sleep again, only to wake promptly to Israel getting up to go to work.  I feel very sorry for Israel though. He had a thoughnight too, but he still has to go to work. Even though Friday is my housecleaning day, I can do it at my own pace and stay in my PJ’s all day if I want to. Poor Israel doesn’t have that luxury.  I will try and do someting special for him tonight to make up for it.

Okay, so here are my chores for today…

- tidy up the kitchen (didn’t do it last night)

- clean Mary’s cage (the guinee pig)

- vacuum

- hang washing out

- put all the clean washing that has been hanging out for a week now away!

- cook dinner (spinach pie!)

- and I need to call Catherine about a dinner date – Catherine, if I don’t call you, please call me!

Okay, now that my chores for the day are out in the www, I am committed to them. I will come back later today and fill you in on what I have done, and also hopefully have a pic for the day.

for the 1st of the month!

And it’s also the first day of my photo a day challenge. I was out a lot today so didn’t get a lot of chances to take photos, but I did manage to get this one. It’s not a great photo, but I just love the expression on Gemma’s face!
pict0623.jpg

I was actually a bit bummed, cos I was planning on my photo today being a different one. Bec and Esha came over with Kerry today and I really wanted my photo to be of my darling neice Esha, but the sweet little thing just wanted to sleep! Oh well, maybe next time.

Today was a bit of a busy day. This morning started off pretty early (5:20am to be precise!) and then this morning we went out for petrol, and to drop a form off at Centrelink. Then came home to see our visitors and then went out fruit and vegie shopping with Bec and Esha. It was a busy day, but a nice one. And it’s even nicer now that the girls are all in bed! Israel is working back tonight so I am just about to head into my scrap room and go crazy! Well hopefully!

Anyway, catch you again tomorrow!

This is the first time I have been tagged! I was tagged by Clair.

6 weird things about me..

1. I am extremely ticklish. I tense up at the thought of someone tickling me!

2. I am petrified of snakes. I have nightmares about them!

3. When I walk uphill I walk on my tiptoes!

4. I am a tupperholic.
5. I have to play at least one round of Yahtzee before I go to sleep each night. (It’s an electronic one player game thingo)

6. I am a sucker for rice crackers! Will go through a whole pack in less than an hour.

Okay, that’s me done. Now who do I tag? Ummm…. Jodi, Danielle (dsk72), Angela, Ryn, and Jo. There are other people who read this blog that I would love to tag, but you don’t blog, so I can’t! That would be you Mum, Cam, Miranda, Aunty Jen!

Now on to other stuff… yesterday was a pretty huge day for us. Let me tell you a bit about it. Well it started off by me going to my MIL’s to pick up Chloe as she had stayed the night there. Well, when we were there I was talking to my MIL about how it is hard to manage Ashca’s constipation as she wont take the bottle or a cup. Gemma wasn’t drinking her bottle, so I decided to show everyone how Ashca just bites on the bottle and wont drink it. But of course, Ashca darling decided it would be fun to embarrass mummy and she drank from the bottle! I couldn’t believe it! So then when I came home for the 3pm feed I decided to try Ashca on the bottle again, well she skulled the whole bottle! She got cranky when it had finished! I thought I would let her finish Gemma’s bottle when she had had enough (as Gemma very rarely finishes her bottle), so there she sat staring at Gemma, watching her drink away, waiting for it to be her turn again. Low and behold, Gemma skulled her whole bottle too! Ashca got a bit cranky then as well, but luckily by this time, the milk she had drunk had settled in her tummy and she realised she was actually full. I couldn’t believe it though! Of course I then had to express some milk, but I managed to get a full bottles worth, so Gemma had that later. I have decided that I will give Ashca a bottle at least once every 2 days to keep her used to it now, it will be handy to have her used to it.

One good reason is because there is a possibility of me getting a little bit of work soon, maybe. I finally built up the courage to ask Maxine at my LSS if she had any shifts available. She said not at the moment, but I may be able to fill in for people when they are on holidays! How cool is that?! I will be so thrilled if I am able to work there. They like my work, so maybe?

Oh another good thing that happened yesterday was that Ashca and Gemma had their first meal in their highchairs. They have been on solids for a while now, but have not been strong enough to sit in the highchairs. Well last night we gave it another go, and they did well, so we are going to keep it up now. Here are some pics from dinner last night.

Talking about pics, I am thinking I want to do what Clair did on her blog this month, a photo a day for a whole month. But I am going to make a little twist on what Clair did, she did a photo each day of her kids, and as much as that will probably end up being what I end up doing I am going to do a photo a day of anything. It could be something that I cooked that day, or it could be something that inspired me or caught my eye that day. I just want to learn how to use my camera better, and I also want to keep more up to date on my blog, so this way, I kill 2birds with one stone. So starting tomorrow, this is what i will be doing. Wish me luck!

Well I should really go and tidy up the house from my lazy day today. I spent most of the day out seeing friends and visiting Mum at her work, and when I got home I bludged, so now, unfortunately it’s time to work. I would love to be scrapping but can’t tonight, maybe tomorrow?

School goes back this week, so this week things are back to reality for me and the girls. Although Israel was at work a bit last week, it wasn’t proper hours, but this week things are back to normal. I am going to miss him so much! Tonight will be interesting as he wont be home for dinner (all the staff will be going out to dinner together tonight), but I am sure we will be fine. Things are going pretty well with the twins now as they are on a very good routine. This is what our day looks like:

7:30/8am – wake up, milk then solids, bed again soon after

11:30ish – milk for Ashca and Gemma, Chloe’s lunch

12:30ish – all girls in bed

3ish – milk for Ashca and Gemma

5:30ish – dinner for me Israel and Chloe

6pm – solids for Ashca and Gemma

6:30pm – bath for all girls

7pm – milk for Ashca and Gemma

7:30pm – all girls in bed

PRETTY GOOD HUH! I am really happy with how it is going, but you know how kids are, no doubt it will all change again soon, kids never stay the same for long! Such fun!

Here are some LO’s I have done recently…

I have been thinking a bit lately. Do you ever wonder what others think of you? I have been thinking a bit about it. Not like I have been thinking negative thoughts, but I just wonder how other people view me. I got to thinking about this when I was catching up with some friends. I think I may come across a bit pushy to some people, maybe bossy? I also feel that sometimes people have better conversations when I am not around. They seem to talk more freely when I leave the room. I don’t know, it’s probably just my sleep deprived mind going crazy!

Well for the rest of the week, we have a bit on. Today I am just catching up on things like NET time, and washing. Tomorrow I might be catching up with my bro before he starts back at school on Wednesday (that’s if you get all your homework done CAM!). Wednesday I am catching up with Catherine and Clair at a local play center. Thursday and Friday nothing is planned as yet, but sometime this week I do need to do fruit and veg shopping, nappy shopping and will also be catching up with Bec. I am really looking forward to Sunday as I am having a Tupperware party. I am such a Tupperholic! I wonder if there is a TA (Tupperholics Anonymous)?

Here are some more LO’s to show off…

The only reason the housework is done is because my cleaner was here today. She just left and the house looks amazing! I so love it when she comes. Not only does it mean that I don’t have to do the cleaning, but also, she does it better than I ever would anyway!

Chloe is in bed and Ashca and Gemma are happily playing on the floor, so I thought I would have some “me” time. Israel is off 4WDing with his Dad, Samuel (his brother) and Shannon today. Then tonight Shannon and Jodi will be here for our traditional Friday night catch up. I haven’t really thought about what to do for dinner yet, so I guess it will end up just being pasta.

I have been a bit busy with my scrapping lately. I did this one on Tuesday night. I originally had this photo laminated and stuck to the front of my Tupperware diary, and have been wanting to scrap it ever since I stopped Tupperware, well I finally did it, and I am pretty happy with the result. It’s an old photo, Chloe was 11 months old. I took the photo to use on her birthday invitations.

These next 2 I did last night.

The first one is Little Miss Chatterbox, which is an old bicky for you Clair. And the second doesn’t really have a title, maybe Proud? I don’t know if it is really finished. I find it hard to leave simple LO’s as is. Oh and proud is this weeks bicky also.

Well the babies are not so happy anymore playing on the ground by themselves, so I am off to play with them. Bye for now!

I finished an OTP (off the page project) last night. I am really happy with how it turned out.

Here is one photo of it, but if you would like to see more, I have uploaded other pics to my scrapping blog http://dbestscrapping.wordpress.com/

Gemma and Ashca had their first rusk sticks today, they both really liked it!

Here is Ashca…

And here is Gemma…

Not much to say today, I had mothers group this morning, was really nice. Then this arvo went shopping at Eastland for formula and fruit and vegies.

Tomorrow is nappy shopping and a day to catch up on all of my washing, I just hope that the weather wants to play too!

Okay better run. xoxoxo

Ashca decided that it was time to wake up this morning at 5:30am, so I have fed her and she still doesn’t want to go back to sleep, so I thought I would update my blog. It’s kind of good and bad that I have an early start today, bad cos I didn’t go to sleep til about midnight, but good cos I have HEAPS to do today! Israel and I promised each other that we would be in bed at 9:30 tonight though as we have both been going to bed at midnight lately, so hopefully tonight I will get a good sleep.

Well, since I last posted, I have done a bit. First things first, the new routine with feeding the twins is going well. As I suspected, my day is more constant, but definitely less stressful. I often have to separate the girls for nap times as they not only go to sleep at different time but Gemma has less sleep than Ashca and wakes her up a lot, so during the day one is in our room and one in their bedroom (I have the portacot in our room). Gemma has been a bit difficult lately though. She is hardly drinking any milk and is not great with her solids either, and as I said earlier, she is not sleeping much either. I think it is teething, but it is very draining for us! She is tired, but just screams the house down if I try to get her to sleep! Last night though, Israel gave her a bottle and about 15 minutes before it I gave her some panadol. She ended up finishing her bottle and falling asleep on Israel’s lap. It was so cute, here’s a pic… (sorry have to do a link cos it’s a dodgy pic, and all the other pics in this post will be like that too, sorry!)

pict0334.jpg

On the developemental front… Gemma is still frustrated, she is rolling ALL the timefron back to tummy, but doesn’t roll the other way, and is still only crawling a little bit backwards, it’s more of a shuffle backwards anyway. Ashca hasn’t been rolling since she first did it the other day either! I am actually happy with this though, the later they are mobile the better in my books!

Oh and here is a cute pic of Chloe and Gemma. I think it’s a classic!

pict0307.jpg

Israel started back at work yesterday. It was strange not having him around! I missed him heaps! Fortunately I kept myself busy by catching up with some EB scrapping girls. Jo, Felicity, Angela and Clair, I had such a great time girls, thanks! Here are some pics from the day.

(sorry, some of these photos are not loading up properly! stupid resizing has done that i think!)

Saturday night we had Tracey and her family over for dinner, it was so lovely to have them over. I get on so well with Tracey, it’s lovely! I was hoping to get lots of photos of the night, but it just didn’t happen. I did happen to get a few of James and Chloe eating chocolate mousse though!

pict0301.jpg

Oh and I should also let you know that my other blog, the one with just pics of my scrapping is up and running now, the site is http://dbestscrapping.wordpress.com

Well today I have a busy day ahead of me. I have mothers group here this morning, which I am really looking forward to, I love catching up with those girls! Prior to that though, my shopping is getting delievered, so that will be fun having to unpack all of that while tend to my morning chores! NOT! Then today I also have to do heaps of washing and other bits of housework, fun fun fun!

Okay, well best go and have some breaky. Ashca is back in bed now but no doubt the others will be up soon, so I may as well stay up. And anyway, my tummy is rumbling!

Thanks for reading!

Just a quick little chat today.

I have decided to try a new technique with the twins today. You see I am finding it very stressful trying to keep them on the same routine with feeds, they just don’t want it! Ashca wants to be fed 3-3.5 hrly, where Gemma wants 4-4.5hrly. So today and for the next few days I am trialing letting them both demand feed and see where it takes us. My day will be more constant, but hopefully less stressful. Fingers crossed anyway!

In other news… Tuesday was a big day for us. As you know, Gemma has been rolling from back to tummy for a few weeks now, but Ashca has been content to just lay on her back, well Tuesday saw a few new developements! Gemma rolled from her tummy back on to her back, Ashca rolled from back to tummy and Gemma also has started trying to crawl, but she can only move a few cms BACKWARDS! It’s is so funny to watch, but she finds it very frustrating, poor little thing! They are also going very well with eating their solids now. They have dinner every night now, and we are starting to include another meal in the mid morning, but it asn’t really taken off as yet.

As for Chloe, well she is still the same… intense 2 year old, but yes still as cute as ever at the same time! I have started a chore chart for her. Her chores each day include feed Samson (the dog), feed Mary (the guinee pig), unpack her cups plates and cutlery out of the dishwasher, and pack up her toys. She hasn’t been doing all of them everyday, but still has been doing a good job, I am so proud of her!

Israel is still on holidays, but I think he will be starting to get back to work soon, maybe next week. He is enjoying his school holidays though, loving the free life! It’s great having him around, he has been helping me sooo much! And also it’s been great to have him around to talk to about different issues, and decisions that need to be made.

As for me, well you know me, always scrapping! I am so into it at the moment. I have a few projects that I have going at the moment, nothing to show just yet though. I have actually started another blog just to show off my scrapping stuff. Mainly started for when I apply for scrapping comps or stuff like that, then I can just give them a link to the new blog to see all my work. I have set it up but not put any of my work on there yet as Israel is using the external hard drive (it has all the pics on it). But for future reference, here is the link… *d_best_scrapping*

This weekend we have got a few things happening. Tonight is a skate comp thing in Frankston, I don’t think I will be going though, too much hard work with 3 young kids. Then tomorrow Chloe is going to a birthday party with Mum and Max, and Israel and I will go to church with Ashca and Gemma. Then tomorrow night I have my friend Tracey and her family over for dinner, I am really looking forward to it! Sunday will just be bumming around day, also very much looking forward to that!

Okay, well Ashca just woke up and Gemma is due to go to bed, so I better get going.

Nice chatting to you all, wasn’t really a quickie after all was it? PMSL!

Cordelia from EB made the new banner for the top of the blog. Isn’t it awesome! Thanks so much chicky!
